ABOUT POCKET'S TRAVELS

Pocket is weaver. Weaver is Pocket. And Finkle IS Einhorn!

Glad I got that out of the way.

A trilogy of abstract adventures.

Around The World In 11 Days

February 7th-March 1st, 2012

A trip around the world in 11 days. For this trip weaver is hired to make stops at 8 different galleries scattered around the world, all of which are displaying works by Damien Hirst (I had to look him up to). He's holding a contest where select galleries are displaying his works for one month and if you go to each gallery and show proof that you came and conquered via a contest stamp card, you will receive an original piece of art signed by him, worth more than the trip itself in value. These 11 days of documentation by a man who, up to this point, has only been as far as the county line, will leave you with aspirations of your own to get on out there and explore the world...preferably on someone else's dime.

This Is Not Travel Pocket III

March 8th-March 12th, 2017

Somehow, and three to four times a year mind you, weaver finds a way to slip away from the everyday as he goes off to explore the fruit of Mother Nature's efforts; this time, Zion, Utah. Mid-March of 2017 weaver took off on what was sure to be another boring camping trip of self-realization, inner struggle, and physical incapability as he climbs Nature's backyard only soon to realize he's just merely a man and no match for "the real world". Join Weaver in his narration as he attempts to desperately explain away any piece of dignity he may have left after recalling his feeble attempts to make it through the Devil's playground.

Pockets Turning Japanese, No. III

January 17th-January 24th, 2018

Konnichiwa! Hokkaido, from Japan! Weaver returns to the land of ramen and beer. Feeling a little more adventurous in his wanderings, explore surreal imagery with weaver as he weaves in and out of art and architecture of a culture well deserving of the attention. See a whole different Japan when the sun goes down and the jet lag hasn't kicked in yet. Weaver is a peculiar man, there's no telling what kind of moonlighting he got himself into out there. Find out.
